    The HMV 102 is dubbed as His Master’s Voice’s longest lived and most successful portable gramophone which was introduced in 1931. Marketed by HMV as the ‘World’s finest portable’ was manufactured and sold till 1960. This colonial model was manufactured in Calcutta, British India for upper-class Indians and British officers, has a longer internal horn with a wider swan neck tone arm, and is made in teak— which makes it a rare find, because most of gramophones produced by HMV were made in leather. This Collectible comes with an authenticity certificate and curatorial note on the collectible.

    G- 2165H Sanyo Electric Co. is one of the major electronics company based in Japan which was founded in February 1947. This iconic company started by producing bicycle generator lamps and soon marked its historic relevance by manufacturing Japan’s first plastic radio in 1952 and Japan’s first pulsator-type washing machine in 1954. Sanyo fulfilled its ambition of selling its products worldwide by starting the production of car stereos and home electronics specifically for the North American Market which was also the beginning of its everlasting legacy. Sanyo continued its operations under the company name till 2011 after which it became the owned subsidiary of Parasonic Corporation. Today, the earlier stereos produced by Sanyo are a thing of past but their authenticity remains unmatched with their value as a collectible rising consistently. This beautiful vintage solid state portable stereo music centre, model G-2615H is a 1972 manufactured collectible by Sanyo Electric Co. Ltd., Japan. This 3 in 1 authentic stereo is packed in a leather suitcase which has a leather handle attached to it for carrying purposes and consists of 3 Band Radio, Cassette Recorder, 3-Speed Turntable (33, 45, 78 RPM) and 2 detachable speakers. The inner edges of the lid are adorned with beautifully embroidered flower patterns with glittery gold decorative justifying the design style which was popular in 1972 Japan.

    The Gramophone Company, based in the United Kingdom, was one of the early recording companies, the parent organisation of the famous "His Master's Voice" (HMV) label, and was a subsidiary of Victor Talking Machine Company. Although the company merged with the Columbia Gramophone Company in 1931 to form Electric and Musical Industries Limited (EMI), its name "The Gramophone Company Limited" continued in the UK to the 1970s, appearing on sleeves and labels of records (such as The Dark Side of the Moon by Pink Floyd, vinyl copies of which bear the copyright notice "(1973 The Gramophone Company, Ltd.")     The world’s first portable gramophone that marked the major historic breakthrough in technology was manufactured by Barnett Samuel and Sons in the year 1914 and sold under the patented name “Decca”. The first gramophone produced by the company was capable of good quality sound reproduction along with the convenience of portability. The initial design consisted of a gramophone packed inside a suitcase, mostly covered in leather, which could be carried around easily. The earlier gramophones of Decca are now a part of antiques and collectibles. This vintage portable gramophone, model Decca Junior, from the year 1926 was manufactured by Decca Gramophone Company. This authentic gramophone is packed in a leather covered wooden case which consists of a reflex sound disc placed in the lid and a sound box.
